I havent posted for a while, so here we go. Tune in next year for my next update.

So I havent updated this site ina while. I'm certainly in a way better mood than last time i posted. Things are going great for Breaking Even right now. We are becoming a regional band and are starting to get booked consistently outside of Iowa, which is sweet. Maybe this is a sign of things to come. That would rule because i wouldnt have to wake up everyday and be stressed out from all the bullcrap college involves.

Christmas break is fast approaching and all i can say is THANK GOD!!!!!!!!! This semester has been a huge discouragement in every way possible. I'm terrible at school no matter how hard I try, so that obviously sucks. Pretty much the only thing that doesnt suck right now is stuff for Breaking Even, the band I play drums for. Things are going great musically, which makes sense because music is what I actually don't suck at. I wish colleges had a "build-your-own-degree" program, that way I wouldnt have to take any gay, ridiculous or pointless classes like Magazine Publishing or various other classes that ive worked my butt off in, but still done piss-terrible. Anyway, check out the band and let me/us know what you think - http://www.myspace.com/breakingeven

Today I heard some stuff that really upset me big time. I basically had a girl tell me that I have a bad reputation and she has heard from several girls she knows that are involved in campus ministries, that I'm a womanizing sleazebag. Well, it sounds like there is a BIG RED WARNING FLAG that goes up whenever my name gets mentioned among the female gender. I really can't believe people are questioning my integrity like that. I have found out that things have been said behind my back by people at CRU also. The funny thing is that all these people who are talking about me behind my back and spreading RUMORS THAT ARE NOT TRUE, claim to be Christians. They ARE doing the same thing that they ACCUSE ME of doing - confessing Christ with theirs mouths, but denying him by their lifestyle. Perhaps they need to take the log out of their own eye and realize that they are being stupid and that gossip is WRONG and that, as Christ-followers, we are called to build one another up, not spread rumors about each other that damage people's reputations and ultimately how other people view a person based on those negative reputations. I've had it. I've been pushed too far. I'm going to get even more mysterious than I'm already accused of being. Those who are second guessing me, will no longer do so, because I won't let them know me even if they try to get to know me. So, anyone who has talked crap about me, if you're reading this, SCREW YOU!!!!! and don't try to fake being my friend.

So I'm back at home in Cedar Rapids for Thanksgiving break, which is sweet. I got to hang out with John Seidl last night, which is awesome. We got a chance to catch up on life, and the band, etc...,etc... I drank a tad too much and made a few crass comments, but other than that it was a good night. Nate, Kiefer, Todd, Ben Wery, Jen, Karen, and Liz, and two of John's cousins, who are pretty cool were there also. We had a bonfire and hung out. Good times. I'm totally stoked about the band's return as soon as John gets back. We'll rock your face off for sure. Count on it
